Best buy dvd players for home2/3/2023 Posted on Saturday, Septem07:08 GMTThought I'd put my 2 cents in. Just be prepared for problems and do purchase extended protection. It has louder speaker audio than most of the players out there (the reason I chose it). if you want this brand and the speaker audio is important to you, go with the 9". The 10" looks much more natural, if a little softer. The 9" player seems to have very large pixel units, which results in text appearing irregular and hard to read, and images sometimes have a paradoxically over-sharp quality. I haven't taken it back yet, but at this point have visions of spending the next two years making weekly exchange visits to Best Buy.īesides the quality control issues, the 9" player has inferior video quality compared to the 10" player. Good thing I did! The replacement unit played exactly one DVD before going berserk, displaying strange angular images, lines, and bizarre colors. I exchanged it for an identical unit and decided to play it safe and purchase a two-year protection plan at the same time. It played a total of five DVDs before it died. Posted on Thursday, J06:13 GMTI recently purchased an Insignia 9" portable DVD player.
